Hi, I’m Tracy Fisher

I grew up in northwest Indiana and graduated from Miami University. After earning my first real-world paycheck, I set a goal to buy a house within five years. By the time I turned 25, I had purchased a fixer-upper 1920s cape cod and learned how to refinish floors, hang wallpaper and lay a brick sidewalk. By 29, I bought my next home, an 1835 diamond in the rough, and renovated the kitchen and bathrooms and painted anything that didn’t move.

As I honed my design chops working on my own homes, I began to help family and friends design their spaces, too. It started with a friend of a friend who hired me to design her dining room… and then her office. A friend of that friend hired me to design her den… and then her professional office. And Tracy Fisher Design has grown organically from there.

Over the course of 20 years, I have continued to add to my portfolio, including a husband, a couple of kids, and three more renovated houses.

I believe in creating timeless, classic interiors that reflect who you are and who you want to be.

My Design Philosophy

I like to create livable spaces through the use of antiques and vintage pieces for a layer of history; sprinkled with contemporary pieces to add freshness; and a mix of patterns and textures to add interest. I want your space to feel joyful and happy, but mainly I want you to feel at home.

Client Feedback

“After living with the golds and reds of the 2000s, we had our entire first floor repainted and new flooring installed. With everything off the walls and windows, it was a blank slate and all the decisions and options seemed so daunting! We had Tracy come out for an initial consult. She asked really good questions not only about the physical spaces but how we wanted to feel when we were in them. We liked what she had to say so we decided to use her to design our family room, dining room, kitchen, den and home office. She listened to what we wanted and then challenged us to go out of our comfort zone in some areas. The results are rooms that we would not have picked if left to our own decisions, but the spaces are better than we could have ever imagined! I would totally recommend her.”
